We are learning to write Information Reports, Personal Responses and Narratives as part of our English theme "Under the Sea".

Our COGs unit this term is "Getting Along", which focuses on rules, relationships, families, personal safety, people who help us, making choices and safe use of medication.

Sport this term - Year one are enjoying our Acrosport introduction to gymnastics on Fridays.  In class sport we are practising the skills of ball control, throwing, catching and kicking in our unit called "Let's move!"

Maths - we are counting by 1's, 2's 5's and 10's, adding and subtracting one and two digit numbers, naming and sorting 2D and 3D shapes, estimating and measuring length, volume and time and having fun with all sorts of everyday maths problems!

Our art works this term are beautiful creatures from under the sea and on the ice, as well as family portraits and safety posters.

The Oz Opera Performance of "The Magic Flute" was an enthralling experience from which the children gained both knowledge about live opera and great enjoyment.
