This term we will be developing our writing of Discussions, Information Reports, Personal responses and Narratives.  Those tie in nicely with our language unit on Dangerous Creatures where we will study snakes, spiders and sharks.

Our COGS unit this term is "Getting Along" and we will discuss many topics such as 'Who looks after me?' 'What is a family?' and 'Community roles and responsibilities', using fairy tales such as 'Three Billy Goats Gruff" and "Little Red Riding Hood" for examples.

For sport this term we have Acrosport on Friday afternoons and in class sport we will be improving our ball skills, fitness levels and team playing.

Maths - we will developing our knowledge of number facts both + and - to 20, analogue and digital clocks - 1/4 past/to, 1/2 past/to and o'clock, measurement of length and area, 2D and 3D shapes, data using picture and column graphs, fractions 1/2 and 1/4 of whole units and groups and introduce multiplication.

In creative arts we will be performing familiar pieces using un-tuned percussion, recorder, painting using a variety of media on topics mainly related to our two themes.

There will be no excursion this term however the children will enjoy a production of 'Magic Flute' performed by Opera Australia.
