Term 4
Welcome back to another term. It has been a great year so far and the children have worked tirelessly to learn new concepts and discovery different things. We have had so much fun that the year seems to have flown past us; I can hardly believe that it is Term Four already. Keeping with tradition we have an action packed term ahead of us that will keep us busy and enthused until we say farewell to 2009.
Our class theme for the term is ‘Stuck on You’. We will be looking at magnetism. We have been busy purchasing some new and exciting kits that will really help the children explore the properties of magnets. To enhance the learning process we will be reading the ‘Magic School Bus - Amazing Magnetism’ This will also lead into our two text types, explanation and procedure. For explanation the children will be writing science based reports explaining how certain phenomena and reactions occur. They will also be asked to write procedures of the experiments that they do to help with their overall understanding of the process and concepts taught.
